Pee Wee: The Pooch

Pee Wee is MY BABY! Oh gosh, words cannot describe the love I have for this dog. Pee Wee is almost 10 years old, and he’s completely changed my life. It may seem silly to be this enamored with a dog, but truly…he means the world to me. There’s nothing I wouldn’t do for this boy.

Oddly enough, before Pee Wee, I did not like dogs. Now, I’d give up shopping, drinking, and just about anything else to help a dog in need. I feel passionate about dogs, and I wish they all had warm homes and soft beds to lay their paws and head on. I love dogs, and frankly, I love all animals. They’re amazing creatures.

Pee Wee was acquired sort of by accident. No, maybe more by serendipity. He was meant to be mine and Daniel’s dog. It’s destiny. Pee Wee originally was meant to be for Daniel’s siblings, but somehow, Daniel ended up taking care of Pee Wee during those early days. Pee Wee was a small pup who fit in the palm of my hand. Fittingly enough, now he has me wrapped around his paws.

I don’t think we’ll ever know what breed Pee Wee is, but I don’t care. He’s a breed of spunk, energy, and happiness. He licks himself more than is probably normal or healthy, but even then, he’s still simply perfect in my eyes. Although I’ll never again own a piece of clothing or furniture without dog hair, I wouldn’t trade him for the world. He is my world.

You’ll often see Instagrams of my sweet boy, and he’ll often make a cameo in my blog posts. We’re pretty tight, and I love that even after all these years, he’s still a mama’s boy and wants to be by my side. He loves chasing squirrels, napping, licking himself, and eating treats. You know, regular guy stuff.

Pee Wee: you’ve changed my life, made me a better person, and I can never thank you enough for making my world such a beautiful and better place.

Love you always and furever,

Monica, your mom.
