If you need some Hostess Gifts this holiday season, boy is this post for you!
This past weekend, I went and shopped to find my most favorite items that any hostess would love. Our local Corpus Christi Cost Plus World Market location is fabulous and I found so many affordable gift ideas (find the World Market store nearest you here), and I am sharing why each item would make a great gift for a hostess. I’ve got stuff for hostesses who love cocktails, decorating and baking/cooking.
So, let’s shop!
Gold Ice Bucket & Gold Rimmed Bubble Glasses
Any hostess would appreciate gorgeous barware to use. It adds glitz and glam to a dining table, bar cart and is an entertaining essential.
This gold ice bucket and tongs is chic with the gold leaf finish, and the petite size makes it perfect for smaller gatherings and bar carts.
The gold bubble glasses compliment the ice bucket beautifully, and are chic and elegant enough to match with any dinnerware or serveware a hostess may already own. The glasses are perfect low ball height for holiday cocktails, and the gold rim adds a dash of sparkle to any affair.
You can find these gorgeous glasses in the Entertaining area at your local Cost Plus World Market along with the other fabulous glassware options they carry.
Agate Frame & Kitchen Towels
When I saw this agate picture frame in store, I loved it immediately. The bold color makes it perfect for a decor piece to add to a mantel, end table, bookshelf or to use as a sign holder for menus/cocktails at a dinner party.
To pair with the bold color, I also chose both the London and Paris Travel Cities Kitchen towels. They’re so unique and fun, and you can’t have enough kitchen towels! It’s also a smart idea to hang a towel on a barcart for quick clean-up.
The kitchen towels can be found in the kitchen wares section near all the aprons, cookware and serveware type items.
White Marble Lazy Susan, Gold Cheese Spreader & Ginger Jar Vases
I adore how practical and beautiful all these items are. The White Marble Lazy Susan would look beautiful on any kitchen countertop or dining table. It’s perfect for a hostess to use as a cheeseboard during a soiree or to use next to the stove to hold cooking utensils and spices. I found this beauty in the same area as the kitchen towels.
The Blue and White Ceramic Ginger Jar Vases are so on trend right now, and they look fabulous as is on this lazy Susan or you could pair with some flowers for a quick centerpiece or end table decor that a hostess could use right away.
It’s a happy bonus that the vases come in a gorgeous gift box!
The gold hammered cocktail spreaders are also practical for a hostess for cheese/charcuterie trays, brunch spreads or afternoon tea.
I found the spreaders right in the front of the store in a special area where Cost Plus World Market was featuring all sorts of hostess gift goodies.
So, you’ve bought fabulous hostess gifts, how do you package them beautifully? I opted for simple, chic and practical and used a medium sized Nora basket that the gift receiver can put to use afterwards. I also bought some gold and white crinkled basket filler to help cushion the breakables. I’ll walk you through how I put this gift basket together.
I placed the heaviest items, the Marble Lazy Susan and Gold Hammered Cocktail Spreaders, in the back of the basket. Then I emptied half the crinkle paper in the area left in front of those items, and I placed the agate frame against the Lazy Susan, and layered in the bubble glasses, ginger jar vases and ice bucket.
Use the remaining crinkle paper to add in additional cushion between breakables.
For the towels, I folded them into small rectangles to show off a part of the design and tied a simple ribbon knot using satin ribbon. Then I added them to the two glasses towards the back of the basket.
I tied a simple bow on the front using black satin ribbon and also attached a Cost Plus World Market gift tag. Here’s what it looks like once it’s all done and ready for gifting.
Who wouldn’t love to get this basket (or any one of the items) for a gift?
Cost Plus World Market has so many great gifts for hostesses, but truly they have gifts for everyone! You can view Gifts for Her and Gifts for Him, so it’s a great one-stop shop this holiday gift giving season.
