I’m in love. About a month ago, this desk came up in my Pinterest feed as an ad. I was seeing hearts.

All I can say is that Horchow, the advertiser, was spot on. I indeed would love the desk, and I indeed would be very interested in purchasing it…if it didn’t cost $2,000. In all fairness, at the time it was only $1,499.
I love the curvature of the desk top, the glass, the gold detail on the bottom and ALL THOSE FLORALS. Could this desk be anymore Monica? No, no, it cannot.
This Cynthia Rowley desk is what dreams are made of. What a stunner. It’s part of her line with Hooker Furniture, and there’s a desk and some other furniture pieces with the same print on it that I also want.
I’m thinking that if it’s meant for me to have those pieces of furniture in my life, they’ll end up at HomeGoods someday. *crosses fingers*
I started doing some research to see if maybe, just maybe, there was something she sold with the print that wouldn’t cost me a mortgage payment, and I came across her line of desk accessories at Staples.com. The print isn’t identical, but it’s pretty darn close for a fraction, and I mean fraction, of the cost.
I spent $18 total on a Cynthia Rowley Black Cosmic Floral mousepad, clipboard and gold pens at Staples.com. Join their rewards program (free!) to get free shipping on purchases over $14.99. I had these babies at my door step in about three business days.
The clipboard is translucent and so beautiful. The gold on the top makes it sleek and chic– perfect for any desk. The gold pens are SHINY, but they write like $3.99 pens. I mean, they’re mostly for looks, but they do write decent enough. Wish they wrote a bit smoother.
I’d been using a tiny notebook as a mousepad since I got my Apple Magic Mouse for my birthday in March, so having a proper, generously sized and GORG mousepad is a treat.
Staples also has desk organizers, removable wallpaper, planners, stapler, and paper boxes with the print at super decent prices. Amazon has a small selection, too.
I’m also obsessed with this console table from her line that is also pure perfection. Cynthia Rowley is officially my decor crush.
Hopefully I’ll get to see these pieces in person someday, and if not, I’ll thoroughly enjoy my $18 desk accessories.
Be back later this week with details on my new coffee table! It’s out with the old and in with the new and timeless. xo.
