Shutterfly Photo Books for Holiday Gifts

You guys...have you checked out my new blog design? If you haven't, head to your computer to check it out. On mobile it looks the same, sorry. But yay for a new design with bigger photos! Swoon. Some of my older posts have funky spacing, so I will be working on fixing all of them over the next few weeks. Bear with me during this transition, and I hope you love the new design. <3

Only 24 days left till Christmas! I’m in full-blown Christmas shopping mode for all of our friends and family, and some people are hard to shop for. My usual no-fail gift solution is a gift card, but sometimes you want to give a thoughtful, meaningful gift. I know I am thrilled when I receive something that shows me the person truly “gets” me.

So, I bought myself a gift recently because no one gets me better than me.

Being a blogger means I take thousands and thousands of photos each year, and usually Pee Wee finds his way into my photo shoots because he follows me around everywhere. Honestly, I love that he’s such a momma’s boy because I love him oodles.

Shutterfly Photo Book Review

I took all my favorite Pee Wee pics from the past 10 years (my baby boy is 10!) and made myself a Shutterfly Photo Book. The book is definitely coffee table quality—I’m sort of a snob when it comes to printed products, but this photo book definitely feels luxe. I splurged on the dust jacket and extra page upgrades to make it really nice. I will have this photo book forever, and I will love it even more year after year because it contains photos of my gorgeous, loving fur ball.

Building the book on Shutterfly’s website was easy, BUT…I will say to SAVE YOUR WORK. I had my book built and ready to go when the screen froze during checkout, and I lost everything and had to do it all over again. The templates they have are gorgeous, and they have some new Latino/a designs that are beautiful, colorful and really highlight our culture well.

Personally, I appreciate it when major companies find ways to highlight different cultures within their product templates and offerings because we are all so diverse—it’s nice to see a reflection of who we are when we shop online. Kudos to Shutterfly for honoring that with their Mi Vida portal.

Shutterfly Photo Book Review

Choosing photos to upload is easy, and I found that choosing the layouts and page designs was the most fun part. Lots of options that make it easy for non-designer types to create professional looking spreads that are all cohesive. I am uber picky about layouts, and I was able to complete my design from upload to order confirmation in under an hour.

The book itself arrives shrink wrapped for that extra professional touch. This gift would be ideal for moms, grandparents, high school seniors or a pet lover like myself. I notice it is so easy to capture life’s moments on camera, but rarely do we take the time to curate it all into a photo book.

Give a gift that contains snapshots of holiday celebrations in a beautiful hard cover Shutterfly photo book that will be cherished for a long time. Order soon to ensure holiday delivery or order after the holidays as a way to mark 2015! And a huge congrats goes out to Jessica Beard for winning the $50 Shutterfly giveaway from my holiday cards post.

What are your favorite personal/thoughtful holiday gifts?

Disclosure: These fabulous greeting cards, feelings of joy, and opinions about these lovely greeting cards are my own and brought to you as part of a collaboration with DiMe Media and Shutterfly.
