Gold & Glam Fall Home Tour 2015

Welcome to the Fall Tour of Homes! If you're here from Alicia's blog, Thrifty and Chic, welcome! I love her recent slipcover tutorial. She makes me feel like even I could tackle that project. It totally looks like something you'd find at Pottery Barn.

This is my second tour this year, my first being the summer tour, and I'd like to thank my dear bloggy friend Marty from A Stroll Thru Life for including me in the fall edition. Marty's blog is FAB! Her recent bathroom makeover and master closet revamp are amazing

Now, let's get to all the coral, pumpkins, and gold, oh my! Pee Wee welcomes you with open paws. Pull up a chair and grab some coffee. So happy you're here.

This fall home tour is filled with coral, gold and leopard print for a modern, chic take on fall decor. Lots of fabulous and affordable ideas that are easy to implement in any space.

My tour will consist of my living/dining areas and foyer since that's about all I decorate for fall. I do plan on decorating the porch as soon as we get some "real" pumpkins here locally, so you'll want to stay posted. I really didn't want to go nuts buying a bunch of new fall decor, so I revamped/upcycled what I had on hand and shopped my house.

Let's start this tour off in the living room, where we spend a lot of our time. I have a penchant for pumpkins, so they're all over the place layered in bookcases, coffee/end tables, and my bar cart. The primary fall colors in here are coral, gold, and white with touches of leopard.

The mantle is really simple this year. I prefer simple mantles with lots of color and symmetry. I reused some of my DIY art from last year's Christmas mantle decor. The bust is my fave new piece of decor on the mantle. She was only $6 at Ross.

A chic and feminine twist on fall decor. Lots of gold glam touches mixed with coral and other metallics.

One of the DIY projects on the mantle is the gold dipped coral pumpkin. You can find the SUPER easy tutorial right over here. I love the way it turned out.

This coral gold dipped pumpkin is such an easy way to dress up any space for fall. Nearly any color looks fabulous with gold- I love this tutorial!

I also bought some new imperial trellis inspired curtains (that were a total steal!) and a new antique brass curtain rod for the patio doors. I love the bold pattern. You can read more about the curtains/rod in this post

Lanterns with some vase filler are a beautiful way to bring in candlelight to nearly any space.

My bar cart is such fun to change up for special occasions, and the addition of a tortoise shell decanter and the toothbrush holder turned straw holder really make me happy. Both were found at HomeGoods. Bar cart is from Target

This Target bar cart looks stunning when styled with curated accessories. All the accessories are from discount stores, but all together they look luxe. So pretty and practical! Via monicawantsit.com

Let's transition over to the dining room and sitting area, otherwise known as Pee Wee's parlor. The overall color scheme in this area is black, white, and gold. I wanted this room to have a casual luxe feel for fall entertaining.

This dining room and seating area is so glamorous, yet looks cozy and inviting. The use of candles gives a warm glow, and the black and white touches add a modern touch.

There are candles galore in this room because who doesn't love a warm candle glow over dinner and drinks? Mercury glass almost always has a place at my table...it looks gorgeous day or night.

I made some simple placecards using a gold faux bois cardstock I had on hand.

Simple placecards made from cardstock provide a personalized and chic touch to a casual tablescape.

This tablescape is so glam and simple. Candlelight and metallics/glitter take centerstage to make a casual dining set-up seem luxe.

Gold and white are a beautiful color combo for fall decor. Monica from Monica Wants It uses these colors throughout her fall home tour in various ways. Beautiful!

And now onto Pee Wee's parlor. Daniel named it such because Pee Wee's hobby is sitting on that sofa barking at the dogs across the street, squirrels, butterflies, UPS/FedEx/USPS, etc.

Pee Wee loves to sit and look outside the window.

I love this little sitting area as a casual place to migrate to after dinner to carry on with conversation and cocktails. You'll notice there's a new coffee table, desk/bar, and chair in this area...a full post about that will be coming up in a few weeks.

I love the new tortoise shell hurricane from Ross and the squirrel and gold pumpkin from Hobby Lobby. Now Pee Wee will likely bark at that squirrel, too.

Gold and white are a beautiful color combo for fall decor. Monica from Monica Wants It uses these colors throughout her fall home tour in various ways paired with black and white. Beautiful!

The black and white striped pumpkin is a new addition this year. I bought it at Hobby Lobby, and I love how it looks with my agate side table from World Market, which I reviewed here.

And before I leave you, here's my little foyer table area all done up for the holidays. I don't have a huge foyer thanks to a hallway, closet, dining room and living room entrances, but I make the most of what I got to make a good first impression.

This foyer entry table provides an inviting first impression to guests when they enter the door.

The pumpkin candle creates an inviting scent, and my gold dry erase frame makes it easy to write up seasonal messages.

Thanks so much for touring my fall decor! I'll definitely be adding some fall decor to my outdoor areas, so feel free to swing back by to see more. I'll now send you off to the lovely Kristin from Bliss @ Home. Her photography skills are SERIOUSLY AMAZING...her style and photography is something I am constantly looking at to try to up my game. I adore her blog, and she's like a DIY blog celeb in my book. I know her tour will be uber fab, so enjoy! :)

Here's the complete line-up so you can enjoy nearly 30 homes and get lots of fall inspo! Smooches!
