The holidays are my most favorite time of the year. If you don’t believe me, then checkout my dining room Christmas décor. I love being able to decorate my home for the holidays and invite my friends, family, and loved ones over. It’s great to simply watch movies on the couch with a tasty beverage, especially when watching cheesy holiday movies on TV. When I’m not lounging at home, I love to drive around and be inspired by my neighbors Christmas light displays. And of course, I cannot get through the holiday season without indulging in a little retail therapy. The bargains are too good to pass up sometimes. A girl’s gotta splurge.
So yeah…I cannot wait for the holidays! I love, love, love them. I feel like a little girl again—the lights, the sparkles, the shiny things. Pure. Bliss.
And Coffee-Mate loves the holidays, too…they have some amazing holiday/seasonal flavors such as Dark Chocolate Fudge, Peppermint Mocha and Eggnog Latte. While those are tasty, I wanted something a little different, so I snagged a bottle of the Spiced Latte creamer at Walmart. You can ask any of my friends—I go nutso for seasonal flavors. I think it’s exciting to experiment in the kitchen with all the fab products that come out for a limited time during the holiday season (most Coffee-Mate seasonal flavors are available only through December, so stock up!)
People, this Spiced Latte creamer is delicious! The flavors are subtle and oh so creamy, but they definitely do amp up the flavor of my favorite medium roast coffees. In honor of the upcoming holiday season, I was inspired one night, so I created my very own latte recipe using Coffee-Mate’s Spiced Latte creamer. I am going to share it with you in case you’d like to try it out. It tastes like gourmet heaven, I promise. I try out my recipes several times to make sure I don’t post a dud on here…that would not be fun for you or me, right?
Monica’s Spiced White Chocolate Latte
-1/4 cup of Coffee-Mate Spiced Latte Creamer
-8-10 oz. of your favorite coffee (I think a medium roast is perfect for this recipe)
-1 tbsp. of white chocolate chips or white chocolate syrup
-Whipped cream (I used light)
-1/4 cup of mini marshmallows
1.) Brew a cup of your favorite coffee and add in the Coffee-Mate Spiced Latte creamer.
2.) Add a dash of cinnamon and the white chocolate chips or syrup, until melted.
3.) Top with whipped cream, some mini marshmallows, and a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Coffee-Mate has other super tasty recipes such as Hot Peppermint Mocha over on their website. I am definitely making these for girls night—I think my friends would love these Hot Peppermint Mochas served with some brownies and a good romantic comedy. This holiday season, I encourage you to have fun, both in and out of the kitchen. Make memories, take photos, and enjoy life. :)
What are the seasonal coffee creamer flavors that YOU love? Tell me about them in the comments!
