Aveeno Baby Wash {Review & Giveaway #ETYY #LLBLOG}

photo

If you’re thinking, “Monica doesn’t have kids, why is she writing about Aveeno baby shampoo?” then you’re like half right, half wrong. I have a furbaby who licks himself into oblivion because he’s likely allergic to air. It’s crazy.

I gave him a bath last week, and it’s his least favorite thing to do because I undo all the stench he’s worked so hard to accumulate since his last bath. Usually I use sulfodene as Pee Wee’s shampoo, but because of how great Aveeno is for sensitive skin and is gentle on the eyes, I decided to use it on my baby!

I tend to get soap all over his face, and I felt great knowing that this wasn’t burning his eyes or irritating his already irritated paws and skin. I also used it on myself! I’ve been so itchy lately because of all the dust we’ve stirred up with the master bedroom renovation. My feet and head are just constantly driving me bonkers. I felt the wash was soothing, and while it didn’t totally get rid of my itchy feeling, it did help.

With winter coming up soon, wouldn’t this be a great time to get some awesome goodies to help your skin? I think so! This post is part of a campaign I am doing with Johnson & Johnson, and to wrap it up I am having a giveaway today + another one tomorrow! Isn’t that fun? I wrote a review about some of the items earlier this year, and I’ve been using them consistently since.

What items are up for grabs? Well, here they are:

  1. I have a 12 year old son who's skin always seems to be dry and flaky. I am always telling him to put on more lotion. I would love to get some of the Lubriderm lotion for him.

  4. Aveeno products are amazing. I always have a huge bottle of lotion next to my bed. My skin gets so dry that it cracks. I also use baby shampoo for our dogs. We ran out of dog shampoo one day and baby shampoo is all we had - I love it.

  20. I have dry, itchy skin in the winter, too. Seems like I'm not the only one. I have three little ones, all with some degree of eczema :(. I feel bad saying so, but I didn't even think of using Aveeno products for them again. I did use it when they were babies. Even the oatmeal bath. I will definitely have to try it again. Thanks for always posting interesting and useful stuff Monica.

  27. I didn't even know Aveeno baby existed! I am pregnant and my skin is getting drier and itchier by the ever expanding second. I'm just about half way, so this would definitely help me through the winter. Also, I would love to try your advice and use this on my dog who also licks himself to oblivion due to allergies. It's sounding pretty nice to have a shampoo that would work on my itchy pup and my new babe!

  28. I love Aveeno! I always dread the change in seasons- static-y hair, painfully dry skin and hello allergies/sniffles! I suspect the Aveeno Baby would go to my 9 month old nephew's house- who is cute as a button!

  33. i love aveeno products especially the baby wash because of how it gets rid of the formula milk scent up under my little ones neck (lol) and J & J doesn't seem to do a good job- (yes.4eva.r@gmail.com)

  34. I never thought to use baby shampoo for my dog. She has dry, itchy skin in the winter and I think that shampoo would help her a lot. I definitely could use some lotion, because in an office for 8 hours/day, my hands just dry out like crazy!

  35. I could definitely use those products! Dry skin, and a husband who will only use that type of bandaids :-)

  37. I already use the Aveeno shaving cream (male here) - it's the only one that I've found that doesn't dry out my skin.

  38. Aveeno is all we can use on my daughter. She's got super sensitive skin and it gets awful in the winter here. We use the body wash and the lotion on her to keep her skin from getting so itchy. I recently started using the lotion on my feet (too cheap to get a real pedicure) and it's made them sooo much softer!

  39. I've become a huge fan of Aveeno products over the last couple of years. I've been diagnosed with dyshidrotic eczema, which are small, often itchy blisters on my hands. Aveeno lotion stops the itching and isn't heavy or greasy like rx lotions and creams. I also love their facial moisturizer. My face, especially my nose, wants to dry out more during the winter, but Aveeno prevents that!

  40. I live in Wisconsin and we have cold, dry winters. The Aveeno daily moisturizing lotion would certainly help my dry skin.
